Is the process safe?
Absolutely! The client’s safety is our highest concern. All equipment is autoclave sterilized and all needles are disposed of after each procedure.
Are there any precautions that should be taken before the lip procedure?
If you have ever had a fever blister in your life, we suggest that you obtain a prescription for Zovirax capsules (anti-viral medication) from your physician or dentist and begin taking them 2 days prior to this procedure and 3 days after.
Do I have a choice of color placement of pigments?
Yes, you will be involved in all placement of color. Your input is necessary to achieve the results you will be satisfied with.
Is it painful?
There is very little discomfort in most permanent cosmetic procedures. Many people find it much less then they expected. A topical anesthetic may be applied.
How will the appearance look over time?
The color will soften over the years. The natural fading is preferred be most. If at any time you prefer color enhancement, the cost is only a fraction of the initial treatment.
How costly is the procedure?
Each procedure is as individual as the person. All processes include a consultation and two application appointments. Several procudures require more than two visits to slowly build up a soft wash of color.
How much time does the procedure take?
Each procedure takes approximately between 1 and 3 hours to complete.
Can I wear additional make up over my permanent make up?
Yes. Micro pigmantation applications provide a subtle look for natural feature enhancement. After healed, you may choose to apply more make up for a more glamorous appearance.
What to Expect From the Procedure
Permanent cosmetic make up is a proccess where pigments are inserted into the dermal layer of the skin, permanently. When you find a technician, you should make an appointment for a cosultation. At this appoinment, your needs and expectations will be discussed. There will be a discussion of your desires and needs, may be some paperwork, a review of your medical history and before and after care instructions. You may be asked to pay a deposit for your procedure at this time, and preprocedure photos may be taken for technician records and insurance purposes. Strict sanitation and sterilization guidlelines are followed in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control. Pigments are mixed specifically for permanent cosmetic use. Most of the times topical anesthetics are applied and few technicians use local anesthetics.
After your procedure, you will be given instruction once again in aftercare and post procudure photos will be taken. Generally, you will be given a care package. In 4 to 6 weeks, when the inner healing is complete, your technician will want to see you for a perfection sitting.
